I was recently sent a beautiful picture of the old village post office by a visitor to our website, Steve Eva Hon.Mem. RPS – much appreciated. Here is what Suzanne has to say. I haven’t seen this photo before but I think it was the post office which was next to John Krailing’s house and stood where Don Baker’s bungalow is now. There was a thatched house behind and they were burn’t down when a spark from a Foden steam engine went onto the thatch. This was in the early 1930’s I think, but I would have to check on the date.
