Reporting Dog Fouling

Despite a number of well-publicised appeals, dog fouling is a persistent problem on our High Street pavements and the Recreation Ground.  The Parish Council (11 Mar) urges you to report any incidents you see to a Councillor.  Alternatively you can report incidents online directly to South Cambs DC.  The law says:  Your council has a legal duty to keep public areas clear of dog mess.   If you don’t clean up after your dog you can be given an on-the-spot fine. The amount varies from council to council. It’s often £50 and can be as much as £80.  If you refuse to pay the fine, you can be taken to court and fined up to £1,000.
