This year’s West Wratting Easter workshop and cafe is a fun event for the whole family, and will take place at the village hall from 2.00pm on the 23rd March 2013. It will then move to the church, around 3.30pm, for a short service and “The great egg drop”.

We have lots of free crafts and activities for all ages to enjoy, and in the cafe there will be a selection of homemade cakes to try, with a tea or coffee.

Why not put your engineering skills to the test, and take part in the great egg drop? Design and create protective packaging for an egg. The egg will then be taken to the top of the church tower and dropped over the top. This is open to all and there will be a prize for each egg that survives the drop unscathed!

Rules for the great egg drop

  • All eggs must be hard-boiled hen eggs (no bantam eggs)
  • The eggs’ packaging/ protective casing must not exceed 15 cm diameter
  • No parachutes
  • Entries must be named before the drop.
